Connect

While the information below is by no means exhaustive, hopefully it paints a picture of some of the opportunities for connection available at Joy Community Fellowship.

Our goal through our connection is to train people up in God’s Word and in following the mission of Jesus, while also providing time and opportunity for each individual’s personal mission at home, school, work and in the world.

Groups

Our children’s ministry “lets kids be kids” while learning important Bible truths. Joy Kidz features classes and care for Nursery through 6th grade that meet concurrently with our time of worship at 10am on Sundays.  While parents attend church, kids age nursery through 6th grade will experience their own time of great singing, crafts, Bible lessons and fun geared to their specific age groups.  Through caring teachers and helpers we strive to create a safe environment for kids to learn and grow.

In partnership together, Joy and New Covenant Community Church, the Tribe seeks to engage teens from our church and community in a way that is real and relational.  Through activities and study, The Tribe challenges teens to embrace their identity in Christ and provide practical ways to live out their relationship with God and their world.

In addition to Youth Gathering twice a month, students gather with other students from around the area for service projects, wintercamp and activities.s

In partnership together, Joy and New Covenant Community Church, IMPACT seeks to engageyoung adults (ages 18-30) from our church and community in a way that is real and relational.  It will kick off November 5th at N3C and will feature, great fellowship, the Word and activities.

Studies

We offer several small groups and studies designed to connect participants to God, each other and the world around them.  In addition to Bible and practical issue studies, the groups offer time for fellowship, prayer and activities.

Outreach Opportunities

Held on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend each year, Joy joins with other churches for an outdoor service and celebration.

At the celebration, a guest speaker brings a message, community members are honored and we enjoy a picnic and outdoor activities and games.

The celebration alternates each year between Audubon and Haddon Heights.

In partnership with other area churches, we serve our community as an introduction to the Good News of Jesus through a food pantry, seasonal dinners, and service projects that provide for those in need.

Joy opens its doors and sets up on the church property  providing candy, hot dogs, water, a bonfire and information for parents and kids who are out in the community on Halloween.

Each Christmas season we make and distribute Christmas Cookies and homemade dog biscuits for our neighbors and furry friends as we invite them to our Christmas events at Joy.

Breakfast at Bethlehem is a free outreach event  alternative to Breakfast with Santa for kids and their families where they get to celebrate the birth of Jesus by being taken back in time to the little town of Bethlehem at the time Jesus was born.

The event features a simple breakfast, pictures taken with Mary Joseph and Jesus in the manger scene, Christmas carols, and crafts.  Kids will also make a frame for their picture they had taken.

Throughout the year, Joy reaches out into the community with events and projects such as studies, seminars, clean-up days, collection/distribution of food and school supplies, school outreach and much more as God leads us.

Options’ ministry is about loving women who are facing unplanned pregnancy at a time of crisis and indecision. Options for Women is a safe haven where women and their partners can receive free medical care and non-judgmental counseling.
